A study from Anesthesia: Essays & Research actually found that 1 out of 3 lost sleep and about twice as many lowered their physical activity because of the pain. There is good news: about 75 percent of those women who visit the chiropractor reported pain reduction!
There are four tools that we are going to give you that are proven to help with pregnancy related low back pain.
Manipulation:
About 75 percent of those who underwent chiropractic manipulation reported feeling less pain and improvements in disability. 4 in 5 women even reported reduced pregnancy symptoms like heartburn, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, insomnia, and neck pain! Sadly, about 40 percent of women who experience pregnancy related low back pain continue to feel this pain after being pregnant for six months to a year. Fortunately, spinal manipulation can help with this!
Exercise:
Healthy women should be getting about 150 minutes of exercise per week. It is not recommended for women to start this while pregnant. Instead, try therapeutic exercises like pelvic tilts, knee to chest stretches, and hamstring stretches.
