We have been treating patients in our New York practice for many years and have now opened up in Springfield as well. As experienced doctors of chiropractic, we already know the many benefits of chiropractic care and how it can help patients escape pain. We not only understand how the mechanics behind it, but we see each and every week the number of patients who see relief from their pain. It’s extremely real for us and why we love to help people.
The medical industry for years has remained skeptical. There are many reasons for this, chiropractic care has been seen as a pesudo treatment, it hasn’t been taken seriously, also pressures from the pharmaceutical lobby have also been against it for obvious reasons. But the truth is, chiropractic care works, it has helped millions of people across the globe, studies back this up and patients who have experienced relief from pain because of it, vote with their cash. You only need to look at our own reviews to see how many we alone have helped. Now search for chiropractors anywhere else in the country and you can expect to see similar results.
People getting out of pain.
Which is why we’d like to direct your attention to this article published in the New York Times in May 2017 by Aaron E. Carroll, a professor of pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine regarding one medical doctor’s recent admission that chiropractic isn’t the big monster that it has previously been criticized as. You can read the article,“For Bad Backs, It May Be Time to Rethink Biases About Chiropractors” here.
In the article, the author discusses the previous thinking of chiropractic and how he may have been wrong in his estimation of the practice. He discusses many studies that show the benefits of chiropractic care and how they are as safe, if not safer than other methods of treatment on back pain.
It’s an enlightening article and one the profession certainly needs to see. Why? Because chiropractic care does work and the benefits of the treatment are extensive. Perhaps the most important benefits of the therapy is the fact that it is non invasive, conservative and has no side effects. And of course, most importantly, no medicine is required.
Thousands of years ago, Hippocrates himself (also known as the father of medicine) uttered these words, “Look well to the spine for the cause of disease.” There is much wisdom in our past and it seems that he was correct in that statement. Many benefits of having a spine that is regularly adjusted include properly aligned joints, proper range of function, less infringement on the nervous system and proper lubrication of disc and cartilages.
Naturally, we our Back & Body Springfield already knew that, but it’s great to read positive articles about the treatment from our peers in other parts of the medical world. At the end of the day, a doctor wants to get his or her patient well again and pain free..
