In the last article, Back and Body Medical Springfield touched on what you should expect upon your first visit with us. In this article, we will be telling you about some of the various treatments we offer and what you should expect during your first consultation/treatment.
If you are getting physical therapy, the physical therapist will do your evaluation. This will consist of asking questions and a physical evaluation. During this same time, your X-Rays will be viewed by all of the doctors that are currently in the office, and they will discuss them.
If you chose to do so after physical therapy, you will meet with the acupuncturist for an evaluation, and they will also perform acupuncture on you at that time.
We will then answer any questions you have about the imaging of your X-Rays. At this point, you would be escorted back into the room to receive chiropractic care if you wish to do so.
After all of your consultations and treatments, we will then go over a care plan with you to discuss what we need to do to help you get better, and how often we need to see you in office, but this is not just about then frequency here. This is about what else you have to do in order to help yourself outside of our office.
If there are factors that make your problem worse, we need to discuss that and fix it. These could be changing your sitting positions in the office, applying your exercises at home, or changing anything else that is contributing to your pain.
