We have a very large array of treatments that we can offer patients at Back and Body Springfield. From chiropractic care to physical therapy, cold laser therapy to acupuncture, medical massage and more. We tailor make our treatments to the condition of our patients to help them get out of pain and fit as quickly and as effectively as possible.
We also encourage stretches, exercises and other things for patients to do in their own time to help with the healing process. One other thing we can do is provide support braces which help provide support and relief to the afflicted area.
For example, we can provide patients with lower back braces which will give the patient’s muscles and back the support it needs. They help to decompress the joints allowing improved healing. Muscles are able to relax as the braces take the burden which in turn reduces spasms and other trigger issues that afflict the back.
While back braces are available from local pharmacies, these are good for the short term. They are much cheaper but they are also not comfortable to wear in the long term. If a brace isn’t comfortable to wear, then it will probably be worn less and less by the patient, and so any benefits will not be felt.
We can help you with back braces in order to find the right brace for your condition. Many times, if medically necessary, they may even be covered by your insurance. Again, we can help with that too.
There are several types available, ranging from soft elastic type which are quite flexible to hard shell offering more rigidity. Again your condition would be the determining factor as to what type of brace would be needed.
We are here for you though. Through physical therapy, chiropractic, cold laser therapy and more, our collaborative approach to pain relief and fitness can help you. Along with prescribed treatments, exercises and support braces your return to fitness should be sooner rather than later.
If you need relief, come in and see us. We are here to help. Schedule an appointment here and we will be able to examine you and determine the best course of treatment for you.
