Life gets crazy and very busy at times. Here at Springfield Chiropractic, we understand that. While we realize this, we also encourage you to plan a visit in if you are having a serious problem or pain that won’t go away.
Tight trap muscles in the upper back/trap area can happen quite often. Although we would always like you to come visit in the event of any pain, we have made a short video showing you how to ease the pain and tightness in that area yourself.
The video begins by showing how one of us would treat the pain using ART (active release treatment) but then moves along show you how you can do it yourself at the gym. First off, you can take a strap, and wrap it around the shoulder and across the body.
Then, bring your arm that the strap goes over up into a sling, making sure that your foreman is vertical. Your bicep region should be horizontal, forming an L shape with the arm.
Lean in the direction of that arm, ensuring you keep it in the same L position. This will essentially pin the muscle and uses a similar motion as to how we here at Springfield Chiropractic do.
For more coherence, make sure to watch the video below, and if you are having any pain or discomfort, make an appointment with us at Springfield Chiropractic. We look forward to helping you recover quickly.
Remember, if you are struggling and cannot get relief, make an appointment to see us at our Springfield clinic. Simply give us a call (908) 325 – 3000 and we will help you.
