PRP therapy already provides some great results in improving the healing of different injuries and pain, including relief from plantar fascitis as shown below.
One disadvantage with PRP in the past is that it has always been subject to operator skill and as other variables such as contamination between red and white blood cells which have generated results that were not as consistent as they should be.
This next generation of PRP therapy eliminates these inconsistencies and variables which promote far better and more consistent results throughout. The product we are now using is platelet rich Fibrin Matrix and the way it is produced provides a much more pure product to be applied to the patient.
A Brief Overview of PRP & How it Works
PRP is a solution of plasma and platelets and the platelet concentration is 2-3 times higher than whole blood. It should not include either red or white blood cells and these should be removed as much as possible from the preparation. However in traditional PRP kits, this contamination may be still present, and this can cause inflammation and the opposite results as desired.
The new PRP is the purest PRP ever. It is a closed system and as such, prevents white or red cells within the solution. We are therefore able to provide our patients with significantly better outcomes on a far more consistent basis than ever before.
