Welcome to our second Springfield women and back pain article. In this post we will be looking at three other reasons women have back pain compared to men. Our first article covered things such as menstruation, wider pelvis, weight distribution and even hormones.
In this article, we’ll be looking at three other differences and causes of Springfield women and back pain.
The big one is of course pregnancy. While the first trimester doesn’t generally cause too many back pain issues, it is of course the second and third trimesters that do. With baby growing and causing the mother’s center of gravity to shift and apply more pressure to the back, this can cause problems. General self care treatment can take the edge off, things like icing the area, special exercises and rest, sometimes an adjustment is needed. We at Back and Body Medical have treated many pregnant women and helped them during pregnancy to help with pain relief.
Another big difference occurs many years later after menopause. For reasons yet known, the bone density can reduce which ultimately causes fractures. Spinal manipulations can help ally pain, but ultimately, surgery or alternative means of treatment maybe needed.
Finally, and perhaps the easiest to prevent is the wearing of high heels. Frequent wearing of high heels not only puts pressure on the back, but is also appearing to slightly change the curvature of it, which can cause more permanent pain and trouble. The best thing to do is really not to wear them, but if you do, just be aware of the issues they can cause and to wear them sparingly.
